Ryderz
A private message I received from a resident during last night’s enforcement by four motorcycle police officers: “The police are actually across the street, and it’s all I can do to keep from running over and hugging them. We live on Sunset with 2 very young children. The Ruthless Ryderz have been a threat to us for years.” You can thank them at LAPD West Traffic Division, Sunset Corridor Task Force, 4849 Venice Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90019.
Ryderz II
After reading your Web Talk from July 20: Commenters really should learn the difference between there, their and they’re before lecturing Palisadians on the difference between a “gang” and a “club.” Their membership holding down steady jobs doesn’t mean they’re not routinely breaking the law there on Sunset.
Caruso
Why has he put a plastic sheet across the “window” in the Sunset safety wall of the Palisades Village project? It was fun looking through, keeping an eye on how it was developing, although the view was not as dramatic as the Post showed with a drone, but it was fun. I can’t see what they might be trying to hide—all the bodies are buried now!
Wine
I see that the Chipotle beer license application is getting some movement. It’s about time. I am not sure it will make driving Sunset any safer, but at least we shall crash happy.
Death Trap
Between texting moms and speeding teenagers, the intersection outside of Palisades Garden Cafe in the Village will be the death of me.
Dealing with Pests
When I was growing up in Germany, my siblings and I would catch beetles and collect their eggs instead of using pesticides.
