Hello coffee lovers! I know you are out there. Today I’m interviewing a coffee-loving person who also happens to be my third-grade teacher at Marquez Charter Elementary School, Mrs. Laurie Farrell. I’ll be getting to the bottom of the coffee cup, one sip at a time.
Parker Keston: So Mrs. Farrell, I know you love coffee. What kind do you like and where do you get it from?
Laurie Farrell: Medium-blend hazelnut flavored coffee from Target.
Keston: Okay, got it. So Mrs. Farrell, what else do you love as much as coffee?
Farrell: My husband and son. Coffee is in third place.
Keston: Who’s your best friend? Would you say it’s coffee?
Farrell: Yes, but we have issues, like coffee likes to stay up late and I don’t!
Keston: What’s your favorite color? Is it coffee or something else?
Farrell: Probably coffee with a hint of cream.
Keston: Do you eat ice cream? If so, what flavor do you like? I’m guessing it is coffee.
Farrell: I love Baskin-Robbins coffee ice cream.
Keston: Who do you think drinks more coffee, you or my dad? My dad drinks about two cups a day, especially when he’s had a bad night of sleep and has to go to work the next day.
Farrell: I can drink three cups of coffee on a quiet Sunday morning when third graders are not waiting for me to teach them.
Keston: Exhibit A is a picture of my dad’s favorite coffee mug. Exhibit B is a picture of my favorite. What does your favorite coffee mug look like?
Farrell: Any mug with coffee in it!
Keston: So hardest question: What is your favorite animal? Is this question hard because you can’t say coffee?
Farrell: It’s not hard because I had a coffee-colored lab named Kona. Some people call them chocolate labs.
