Coming out of the recession, where many projects were stopped or put on hold, the pent-up demand for additions, remodels and new homes is evident by all the construction projects around us.
To help a homeowners achieve the home of their dreams and avoid the horror stories that we have all heard, a group of professionals including an architect, interior designer, Feng Shui expert, and a contractor will participate in a panel discussion, “How to Create Your Dream Home Without Losing Your Mind or Your Wallet,” on Saturday, October 5, at 2:30 p.m. at Cisco Home in Brentwood (11975 San Vicente Blvd.).
The panelists include award-winning LEED Accredited architect Richard Blumenberg, AIA, of RLB Architecture in Pacific Palisades.
He will be joined by one of L.A.’s top interior design talents, Beth Devermont of Devermont Design Group, Inc.; internationally recognized Feng Shui instructor and speaker P.K. Odle of The Feng Shui Advantage; and Angie’s List Super Service Award contractor winner David Keeton of D.C. Keeton Home Remodeling.
The panel will be moderated by elite real estate professional and TV personality Barbra Stover of Rodeo Realty.
The panel will discuss what you need to look for in selecting the professionals for your project team; what things you need to do to make the project go smoothly and get the home of your dreams built and furnished within budget; what are the green and sustainable elements that now must be incorporated into your home per code; what features add value to the design; how to make the construction go smoothly, with minimum up charges; and how to make sure everyone is paid.
Following the panel discussion, there will be a reception where you will be able to meet and speak to the panelists and moderator and have a chance to see the furnishing and accessories at Cisco Home.
