All kids, whether pre-registered or registering on the 4th of July, need to check in at the Fun Run tent, located on the grass near the park entrance on race day. Parents must sign the waiver on their child’s registration form.
The Kids’ Fun Run is a non-competitive run emphasizing participation, with each registered child receiving a t-shirt at check-in and an American flag and participation ribbon after the race. A patriotic clown will be on hand to entertain the kids at the start line and for face painting and balloon animals after the race.
Local Palisadian Bob Klein will be the starter for the Kids’ Fun Run.
Proceeds from the 5K/10K and Kids’ Fun Run go to the Pacific Palisades Optimist Club, which distributes the money to various local youth groups and charities.
