Studio K made a splash with Palisadians when it opened its unique lifestyle performance training gym utilizing proprietary exercise equipment technology in the Rockwell building at Sunset Blvd. near PCH in 2012. Two years, later, the innovative training gym is making news again with a move to the heart of the Village.
The high-end gym held its last training session in its Rockwell location at the end of November in anticipation of trading beach views for the Clock Tower building at the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Monument Ave., where they have been selected as an anchor tenant.
Founder Bryan Green said he jumped at the rare chance to relocate to the highly desirable locale, which recently became available after coming under new ownership.
“As you know, there are so few locations available, and we really lucked out,” Green said. “The location can’t be beat. We have plenty of parking and honestly a terrific landlord who is committed to ensuring that the building will be among the most beautiful in the area.”
The new location and the extensive renovations currently underway there will allow Studio K the ability to expand the size of its group studio and offer exciting new enhancements, said Green.
“Our group training programs are what we are best known for,” Green said. “We have some amazing new features that facilitate a class experience that will absolutely only be found at Studio K.”
One of the new features is the addition of several high-demand classes that go beyond the proprietary K-Training format, according to Green.
“The goal is to provide Palisadians with an elite, multi-format training studio, eliminating the trek over to Brentwood or Santa Monica to experience the best instructors available,” he said.
The new facility is slated to open in late January when renovations to the Clock Tower building are completed.
“Our members will have approximately six weeks of down time in between the move,” Green said. “We are going to do everything we can to get them by until then.”
Since the exact opening date will depend on the completion of renovations, it may extend into early February. Although it’s taking longer than he’d like, Green said that obtaining the best location is key.
“Our number-one priority is to continue to offer world-class training and make visiting our facility as easy as possible for our super-busy clients,” Green said. “We can’t wait to show off our new digs.”
