Tapia, who took over Dr. Bob Nelson’s dental practice on Monument Avenue in 2009, has recently relocated her office to the 881 Alma Real building, Suite 205A.
Raised in Managua, Nicaragua, Tapia started dental school at 16. In 1998, after completing her undergraduate and graduate studies at Unan University, she moved to the United States and established a practice in Danville, California.
In 2001, Tapia moved to Los Angeles to pursue postgraduate studies at UCLA, graduating two years later with honors. After living in Fort Lauderdale, she returned to Los Angeles and Pacific Palisades.
