The Northern Trust Open, LA’s only PGA TOUR event, runs from Feb. 15-21 at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades.
While the NTO is known for offering attendees unforgettable golfing moments, it has also become an event where Palisadians can find great food, entertainment and family-friendly fun.
The 2016 tournament will offer an array of events and experiences that guarantee newcomers, hard-core golf fans and everyone in between can find something to get excited about.
On Monday, Feb. 15, the 2nd Annual Collegiate Showcase will feature top college players who will partner with pro golfers for a round of friendly competition for a chance at $50,000 for their university’s golf program.
The English Beat will entertain fans with a live concert starting at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20.
Also on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. families and youth of all ages can participate in the NTO Youth Clinic, a free golf demo hosted by a PGA TOUR player.
During the tournament, tasty eats will be available from some of LA’s hottest food trucks including the Grilled Cheese Truck, Baby’s Badass Burgers, Wise BBQ and Cousins Maine Lobster.
The parking plan is different from past years and fans are encouraged to visit the website for details.
Of note, the NTO has partnered with Uber and has a dedicated pick-up/drop-off area in the circle at Paul Revere Charter Middle School, 1450 Allenford Ave.
To make it all happen, 1,200 volunteers provide approximately 12,500 hours of service to the NTO, which supports City of Hope.
