Palisadian Noah Zaret won the boys 14s singles division Sunday at the first “Serve It Up” Summer Satellite tennis tournament in Encino.
Zaret, who turned 13 earlier this month, just ‘aged up’ from the 12s to the 14s division. He won all four matches in the tournament, dropping a total of 11 games.
He swept Michael Cristiano of Oak Park, 6-0, 6-0; Tommy Zheng of Thousand Oaks, 6-0, 6-3; Jax Liescheidt of Newhall, 6-1, 6-3; and in the finals he defeated Jacob Dix of Encino, 6-1, 6-3.
A 7th-grader at Paul Revere Middle School, Zaret helped the tennis team reach the Junior Delphic League finals in May. Zaret played No. 2 singles as a 6th grader at Paul Revere and expects to move up to the No. 1. position this year.
Noah’s older sister Perri played at Palisades High and captained the Dolphins to the City finals as a senior in 2011.
