The Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness has met its $500,000 fundraising goal after the American Legion, Palisades Post 283 awarded the organization a generous $50,000 donation on Friday, June 30.
Post 283’s Executive Committee approved the donation at its June 6 meeting, followed by the general membership’s approval at their June 14 annual installation meeting.
The donation will fund PPTFH’s three-year commitment with The People Concern (formerly OPCC) for a full-time outreach team to work with homeless individuals in the Palisades, and brings the organization closer to ensuring that 50 percent of the homeless people in the Palisades are in some form of housing by the end of 2017.
