On Thursday, Dec. 14, the Theatre Palisades Actors’ troupe transformed Pierson Playhouse into a 1940s New York radio station for a special “live” broadcast of the classic Christmas story “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
Directed by Theatre Pali veterans Martha Hunter and Sherman Wayne, the 15-member ensemble brought the spirit of old time radio back to life as they performed the dozens of “Wonderful Life” characters, including the idealistic George Bailey, made famous by Jimmy Stewart, and created live sound effects before our eyes.
The cast: Greg Abbott, Mark Davidson, Mitch Feinstein, Carolyn Field, Charmaine Glennon, Laura Goldstein, Sue Hardie, Martha Hunter, Manfred Hofer, Michael and Michelle Nozi, Maria O’Connor, Yvonne Robertson,
Susan Stagnal, and Wendy Taubin.
