Parents, students and staff were invited to Marquez Charter Elementary School for the annual Halloween Festival. Festivities at this year’s party, which took place on Sunday, Oct. 28, included the Mummies Manor Haunted House, a pumpkin patch hosted by Underwood Farms and a “Cauldron and Potions Bake Sale.” There was pumpkin decorating, a costume contest and a cake walk, too.
Funds raised at the annual affair will go toward the fourth- and fifth-grade classes. The fourth grade travels to Sacramento at the end of each year to culminate lessons in California history. Fifth-graders present three large stage productions as part of their curriculum.
