No Late Fees to Accrue During Closure | Palisades Branch Library
The Palisades Branch Library, located at 861 Alma Real Drive, will be closed through March 31.
“Following guidelines limiting the number of people in public buildings, we have closed the Central Library and the 72 branch libraries through March 31,” LAPL shared in a statement. “During this time, due dates for borrowed materials will be automatically extended, no late fines will be assessed and patrons can return materials when libraries reopen.”
Children’s Librarian at Palisades Branch Library Gail Kim said that no returns will be accepted and that bookdrops have been locked.
“Please keep your library materials in a safe location until we re-open,” she shared.

Getty Villa Closure | Castellammare
In response to coronavirus, the Getty Villa closed to the public beginning Saturday, March 14, until further notice.
“The closure impacts the J. Paul Getty Museum locations at the Getty Center in Los Angeles and Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades, as well as the gardens and grounds, and the Getty Research Institute galleries and Getty Library at the Getty Center,” City News Service reported.
Earlier last week, Getty announced the cancellation of events and programs through the end of May, as well as school visits and group tours.

Changes in Animal Care and Control Service | Los Angeles County
The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control has closed all LA County Animal Care Centers to the public starting Monday, March 15. The department will continue to respond to animal welfare and public safety calls.
“We value the health and safety of our residents, their pets, the animals in our care, and our employees, and hold these health considerations at the forefront of all operational decisions,” the department shared in a statement.
During this time, pet adoptions will be by appointment only, and owner surrenders will not be received until further notice.

Civic League to Host Conference Call Meeting | Pacific Palisades
The Pacific Palisades Civic League will hold its next meeting on Monday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. via conference call. New business to be discussed includes three new, two-story residences at 905 N. Galloway, and 915 and 752 Hartzell.
