Twenty-eight firefighters knocked down a fire that broke out at Palisades Branch Library that was first reported at 7:10 a.m. this morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. It took roughly an hour to extinguish the “stubborn fire,” which appears to have started in the attic. LAFD reports that firefighters were able to save nearly all of the books inside.
