Palisades Branch Library will host a Teens Leading Change workshop with the Office of Collecting and Design on Saturday, February 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.
“The Office of Collecting and Design is a museum of lost and forgotten objects located in the heart of Las Vegas,” according to the library. “They are known for their photographs. Specifically, a type of image called a flat lay: a careful arrangement of objects photographed from directly above.”
The museum’s curator will bring a box of treasure/trash for those who attend to sort through. They will then be coached on how to arrange a flat lay of their own.
No advanced reservations are required, the program will be first come, first served.

Pali Knitting and Crocheting Group | Palisades Branch Library
Due to popular demand, the Pali Knitting and Crocheting Group, which meets at Palisades Branch Library, will now be gathering twice per month.
In February and March, the group will meet at 2 p.m. on February 8 and 22, as well as March 15 and 29. Beginning on April 12, they will meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, always at 2 p.m.
“This program gathers knitters and crocheters to share their work, chit chat, and knit or crochet,” according to information shared by the group. “There is no fee, and anyone 18 and older who already knits or crochets, no matter at what level, is welcome. We invite you to bring your current project to share with all. Please note: This is not a knitting class for people who don’t already know how to knit; just a chance for people to knit and crochet together.”
