Yet another exciting season of basketball came to an end last weekend at Palisades Recreation Center, where the summer league championships took place in the large gym.
The Heat and 76ers tipped off in the CoEd Major Division (ages 11-12) final and the 76ers came out on top 34-31.
Coach Bill Palmer’s 76ers squad finished with a 7-2 record (5-2 in the regular season and 2-0 in the playoffs). The roster consisted of Willy Block, Liana Krikheli, Dylan Moran, Max Palmer, Simon Rivlin, Zane Shakarian, Christian Szendrei and Connor Telehowski.
Meanwhile, the CoEd Minor Division (ages 9-10) finale saw Coach Derek Kroger’s Lakers beat David Bigger’s Warriors 35-21.
