If your Thanksgiving plans include a trip to the movies, the Bay Theater is offering a series of “body swap flicks,” leading up to the release of “Family Switch” on November 30, starring Palisadian Jennifer Garner.
“Our ‘all switched up’ screening series sets the stage for the new film with a big-screen celebration of our favorite cinematic switcheroos of the past,” read a statement from Bay Theater.
The series will feature screenings of “The Parent Trap,” starring Lindsay Lohan, on Monday, November 20, and Wednesday, November 22, as well as “Freaky Friday,” starring Palisadian Jamie Lee Curtis, on Tuesday, November 21, and Thursday, November 23.
Thanksgiving weekend, November 24 to November 26, will feature showings of Garner in “13 Going on 30.” Screenings of “Big,” starring fellow Palisadian Tom Hanks, took place between November 10 and 12.
“Family Switch,” which will open at Bay Theater and on Netflix, follows the story of the Walker family, including the baby and dog, who find themselves “unexpectedly swapped.”
“Jess and Bill Walker are doing their best to keep their family connected as their children grow older, more independent and more distant,” according to a synopsis of the film. “When a chance encounter with an astrological reader causes the family to wake up to a full body switch, on the morning of the most important day of each of their lives, can the Walkers unite to land a promotion, college interview, record deal and soccer tryout?”
Garner stars alongside Ed Helms, Emma Myers and Brady Noon in the film, which is directed by McG and based on the book “Bedtime for Mommy.”
