AARON GALEF
A lifelong Palisadian and former Palisades High wrestler, Aaron represented Team USA and took the silver medal in the 154-pound weight division at the 21st World Maccabiah Games in Beer Sheva, Israel. The current San Francisco State sophmore to be captured the CIF-LA City Section 132-pound championship his junior year at Pali High before transferring to Birmingham as a senior and winning the 145-pound title. Aaron grew up in the Alphabet Streets, was active in the Pacific Palisades Baseball Association and played basketball and football at the Palisades Recreation Center. He started wrestling under coach Adam Hunter at Paul Revere Middle School. Aaron, who was nicknamed “Peanut” at Pali High, has compiled a 14-14 record in NCAA competition—first at Purdue and this past season at SFSU—including two major decisions, nine decisions and one technical fall by a score of 17-2.
