ALEXANDRA WOLF
After making the Palisadian-Post’s 2022 athletes of the year list, the Marymount High School freshman is off to an impressive start in 2023, having just won the Girls 18-and-under singles division at the Level 3 Henry Talbert Junior Tennis Championships in Palm Desert. Seeded No. 4 in the 32-player draw, the five-star recruit and Riviera resident won all five of her matches, three in super tiebreakers. The 15-year-old upset No. 2 Kristina Nordikyan of North Hollywood, 6-4, 6-3, in the finals after outlasting No. 5 Rebecca Kong of San Diego, 4-6, 6-4, 13-11, in the semifinals. Ranked in the Top 10 in her age group in California, Lexi got on a roll over the summer in the Girls 16s, winning three straight USTA events: the Jim Buck in Lakewood, Los Caballeros in Fountain Valley and the Mike Agassi No Quit Championships in Las Vegas. When Lexi is not on the court she can be found at Sephora in the Village looking for the perfect sweat-free mascara.
