A senior at Palisades High, Cody defeated No. 14-seeded Drake Howard from Barlow, Oregon, 15-4, 15-2, and No. 6-seeded London Townsend from Los Angeles, 15-5, 15-7, to advance into the Gold Division singles semifinals at the USA Racquetball High School Championships at Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland. Seed third in a 20-player draw he lost to No. 2 DJ Mendoza of Douglas MacArthur High in San Antonio in the Final Four. Cody is ranked 10th in the nation in indoor singles in the 18-and-under age category. In December, he reached the round of 16 in the Boys 21-and-Under Singles Gold Division at the International Racquetball Federation’s World Junior Championships, held in Guatemala.
