Bentons Sports Shop will celebrate its 31st anniversary with a special storewide sale on Saturday, June 8, at 1038 Swarthmore Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There will be a drawing for discounts (up to 50% off), cookies and lemonade, balloons and giveaways for kids, free surfing posters, stickers and prizes.
Owner Bob Benton lives in the Palisades and has served as volunteer commissioner of the Pacific Palisades Baseball Association for more than 20 years. His store manager, Dottie Henkle, is also a longtime Palisadian.
