UPDATED 8:30 p.m.: The Sepulveda Pass fire burned close to 70 acres of brush Friday as it prompted a voluntary evacuation of Mount St. Mary’s College and the Getty Center. However, no structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The fire was 50 percent contained by about 8 p.m. thanks to a combination of LAFD air and ground units. —- The second 25-30 acre fire that broke near Mulholland Drive and Coldwater Canyon. LAFD helicopters are in the process of making air drops on both fires, according to scanner reports. Also, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that Mount St. Mary’s College has been evacuated because of the Sepulveda Pass fire. —- A blaze began at 3:36 p.m. today east of the 405 Freeway near the intersection of Getty Center Drive and Sepulveda Boulevard. Smoke from the wind-driven, 10-acre fire is visible in Pacific Palisades and LAFD spokesperson said that no homes are currently threatened. No structures involved and no evacuation have been ordered.
