Caruso Affiliated’s Palisades Village project passed another milestone in the path to entitlement.
After the public hearing on March 24 at City Hall, the City of Los Angeles approved the developer’s parcel map and adopted the Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND).
In doing so, the city confirmed the site is suitable for Caruso’s proposed development plans and also approved the conditions and mitigations intended to protect the community.
The parcel map approval allows Caruso Affiliated to build an underground parking structure as well as improve two alleys that will be designed as passageways for pedestrians to access the street.
The vehicular alley will be widened to safely accommodate vehicle traffic as well as add a new sidewalk so it is more pedestrian-friendly.
In the future, the pedestrian paseo will be expanded and will be designed as a safe place for pedestrians to enter the project from Sunset Boulevard.
The next step in the entitlement process is a hearing before the City Planning Commission, scheduled for April 28.
