Cindy Ambuehl has joined AKG | Christie’s International Real Estate, taking on the role of executive director of luxury estates at the Brentwood office, which was founded by Aaron Kirman in 2022.
“I am incredibly thrilled to announce that we are bringing Christie’s International Real Estate to the Westside,” the Santa Monica Canyon resident told the Palisadian-Post. “Christie’s is the ultimate luxury brokerage in the U.S. with a global reach stretching to 50-plus countries. Across the globe, discerning luxury buyers and sellers trust Christie’s to deliver tailored service and exceptional results.”
The Westside office is located in Brentwood at 11911 San Vicente Boulevard in Suite 330. Ambuehl welcomed anyone to “visit us anytime.” It marks the third AKG office, following locations in Beverly Hills and Encino.
“Regarding the role, the opportunity to curate an office on the Westside, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration and camaraderie among colleagues and agents, is incredibly exciting,” Ambuehl said. “The principles and essence of the Christie’s brand align perfectly with my own values.”
Ambuehl, who has garnered nearly two decades of experience in the industry, said she takes a “highly personal” and “hands-on” approach to her work. She was previously the luxury estate director at the Santa Monica office of Compass.
“Teamwork is at the core of my approach, and I believe in tackling challenges together,” she continued. “I am deeply engaged and never pass off my responsibilities to others. I am always boots on the ground, working closely with my clients.”
When it comes to the luxury real estate market, especially in Pacific Palisades, Ambuehl said it “consistently bounces back faster than other markets,” but what remains important is “the significance of location.”
“Palisades offers that crucial value in terms of its prime location,” Ambuehl said, “and I firmly believe we will navigate through any challenges with confidence.”
Ambuehl grew up in Orange County, where she had an “amazing childhood” with her parents and sister: “We were a very close-knit family,” Ambuehl previously told the Post.
She shared, at the time, that she always had a love of real estate, taking it on as a hobby throughout her 22-year acting career before switching to the field full-time. Ambuehl was featured in roles on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “JAG” and more.
“In both industries—entertainment and real estate—there are times when you are working around the clock, day in and day out, and there are other times when things have slowed down, and you are waiting for the next big season,” she described. “The entertainment industry taught me to ride out those lows. Like a plane, we are built to withstand the turbulence.”
In 2020, Ambuehl closed more than $200 million in deals, according to her website, and then increased her sales volume in 2021 to over $300 million.
“Despite the challenging market conditions in 2022,” the website read, “Cindy achieved remarkable success by closing an impressive 38 deals, totaling a transaction volume of $250 million.”
Looking forward to the future, Ambuehl said she has “significant listings” coming up, including “a massive compound at the top of Casale Road,” as well as another on Palisades Beach Road. There is also a “beautiful property,” designed by Richard Landry, which is located at the top of Kenter Avenue.
“We are thrilled to welcome Cindy to the AKG | Christie’s International Real Estate family and have her serve as executive director of our new Brentwood office,” said Kirman, founder and CEO of AKG | Christie’s International Real Estate, in a statement. “Together, we aim to redefine the essence of real estate, placing integrity, collaboration and community partnership at the heart of our endeavors.”
Ambuehl has been recognized as one of Hollywood’s “Top 30 Real Estate Agents” by The Hollywood Reporter, as well as Variety’s “Showbiz Real Estate Elite.” She also has participated in charitable organizations, including Giveback Homes, which is “committed to creating social change by helping build homes for deserving families around the globe.”
“Cindy has believed in the Giveback Homes vision for nearly a decade,” Founder Blake Andrews shared in a statement. “We are grateful for her passion, generosity and support. We’re so proud to be aligned with Cindy and thrilled to see her success in the industry.”
