Palisades High’s volleyball program did the expected and the unexpected in 2018 thanks to the efforts of Carlos Gray, who has earned Palisadian-Post Coach of the Year honors after taking the boys and girls programs further than they have ever gone before.
After piloting the boys to their second straight City title, a 34-3 record and a spot in the Southern California Regional semifinals in the spring, Gray led the girls to a school-record 40 wins, their first City Open Division crown and their first-ever victory in the CIF state tournament.
