A group of Pacific Palisades dads and their kids set up a fundraising table in front of the Village Starbucks to raise money for California fire victims and the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The group set up shop on Sunday, Nov. 11, and sold a variety of donuts and beverages to community members. Donuts were available for $4, coffee for $3 and lemonade for $2.
Nearly $2,000 was raised by the group in three hours, including a $100 donation from John Paul DeJoria.
“Anyone who saw my post last week of how saddened I was by humanity after the horrific Thousand Oaks shooting should see that humans are capable of goodness too,” one of the participating dads, Matthew Del Negro, wrote in a social media post. “Amazed by the outpouring of love, support and money. It takes a village.”
