L.A. School Board Candidates Steve Zimmer and Kate Anderson will be featured speakers at tonight’s Pacific Palisades Community Council meeting in the Palisades Branch Library community room, 861 Alma Real, starting at 7 p.m.
Zimmer, a graduate of Goucher College in Baltimore, began his teaching career in 1992. He was first elected to the school board in 2009 after serving 17 years as a teacher and counselor at Marshall High School.
Kate Anderson, who graduated from UCLA and has a law degree from the University of Chicago, says she would bring a School District parent’s perspective to the board. She currently serves on the Mar Vista Community Council.
Those who cannot attend the meeting can e-mail comments and questions to council president Barbara Kohn at pacpalicc@aol.com.
