The county of Los Angeles announced on Friday, March 27, the closure of public trails and trailheads, piers, beach bike paths, and beaches—including Will Rogers State Beach—within the county through April 19 in response to COVID-19.
“These are difficult decisions,” Mayor Eric Garcetti shared in a tweet, “but I agree they are vitally needed steps to protect the health and safety of our communities, and save lives.”
The department recommends walking, biking and running in the neighborhood while practicing social distancing.
