Courtney Anne Calvert Gaskins, 42, Beverly Hills, only daughter of Francis Earle Gaskins III (1943-2016) and Anne Lloyd Field Gaskins (1943-2002), passed away June 20.
Born and raised in Santa Monica, Courtney attended St. Matthew’s Elementary in Pacific Palisades, Marymount High School and went on to attend Southern Methodist University.
Socially astute, eloquent yet poised and playful, Courtney’s ability to tickle your funny bone while raising the bar best characterized her personality. Courtney also took great pride in her heritage and was a direct descendant of many of the founders of this country, including Edmund Pendleton and Richard Stockton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
She was a treasured presence among her lifelong circle of friends and a well-respected member of the community.
She is survived by her step-mother Susan Holder-Gaskins, Marina del Rey, and her Uncle Peter Gaskins and Aunt Nancy Gaskins, Salem, Oregon.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 21, at 1 p.m., at Saint Matthew’s Episcopal Church, located at 1031 Bienveneda Ave., Pacific Palisades, CA 90272.
