Having already won its third City Section title, next on the agenda for the Palisades High girls tennis team is a sweep of the Individual singles and doubles championships.
The singles’ road was made smoother Monday when it was announced that No. 1 seed Rena Lin of Granada Hills dropped out, leaving Dolphins sophomore Caroline Vincent and freshman Caroline Goldberg as the highest seeds.

Vincent won her first two matches by 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1 scores and Goldberg won hers 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0 at Balboa Sports Center in Encino. Palisades junior Calypso Peraticos won her first two matches by 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-2 scores and sophomore Taylor Barfield also advanced to the quarterfinals with 7-6, 6-4 and 6-4, 6-2 victories.
Reigning doubles champions Madeline Prins and Lizzie Belokonnyi began defense their title defense Tuesday with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins. Palisades’ twin duo of Sophia and Ireland Amato won by the same scores and the tandem of Abby Schleichkorn and Morgan Swan won 6-0, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-0.
