A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle today at 15820 Pacific Coast Highway and was transported to the hospital in serious condition via Los Angeles Fire Department helicopter.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Temescal Canyon and PCH, and was reported at about 9: 29 a.m.. Firefighters from Station 23 were first to respond.
“She is in serious condition and reached the hospital at 10:02 a.m.,” said LAFD spokesperson Katherine Main.
“At this time traffic is being delayed and it will effect both northbound and southbound traffic for at least another hour,” Sgt. Ben Zucker of West Traffic Division, told the Palisadian-Post at 10:25 a.m.
Zucker could not provide the exact PCH lanes impacted by the incident. Witnesses are reporting a major backup on the southbound lanes of PCH near Temescal. No lanes have been reported closed at this time.
