Canyon Charter Elementary School hosted its annual Fiesta event on Sunday, April 30—featuring games, entertainment and food.
“Fiesta is part of a rich tradition of celebrating our very special community,” the school’s website read. “Fiesta is an important part of why we all feel like a village within the city. Fiesta has gone through several incarnations, from picnics to art shows to carnivals.”
Festivities included carnival games, an In N Out food truck, a braid bar by Tangled, music, airbrush tattoos, roasted corn and tacos, inflatables, a cake disco, and more. There was a chili cook-off, judged by Los Angeles Fire Department Station 69, performance by Le Petit Cirque and a cake contest.
The Canyon Auction, which raises funds for the school, included items like a four-night stay at the Four Seasons Maui, dinner for four at Nobu, Dodgers tickets and more.
This year’s Fiesta was sponsored by JLL, Margo’s Pizza Kitchen and Bar, The Uplifters, Tallula’s, The Golden Bull, Dan Urbach, Diana Braun, Canyon Square, Parks Project, Sandy Days Kids Camp, Bjorn Farrugia, Caffe Luxxe, Marmalade Cafe, Superfast, Hoffy, Dunkin’ Donuts, Sweetfin, Vanilla Bake Shop, Señor Corn, Patrick’s Roadhouse, and Goodies Truck.
