Receiving a star on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame is something every actor dreams about, though the road to get there is notoriously fraught with hurdles.
Palisadian Jennifer Garner has persevered through every challenge in her two-decade film and television career, and her star was unveiled on Monday, Aug. 20.
“The idea of being remembered, I guess, is what this star is all about, although it’s only a reflection of the thing that matters most, which is our work,” she said at the unveiling ceremony. “That’s what we hope truly outlasts us.”
Garner attended the prestigious event with her three children. Many industry peers (and fellow star-recipients) appeared to show their support, such as Steve Carell and Bryan Cranston.
Garner’s next film, “Peppermint,” releases in theaters on Sept. 7. Directed by French filmmaker Pierre Morel, the thriller has been highly anticipated as it features Garner in a very physical and empowering role—a reminder of her “Alias” roots.
For those looking to explore Garner’s cinematic backlog, her leading role in 2004’s “13 Going on 30” is perhaps the best example of her utter charm and magnetic screen presence.
