After a brief stint on the market, Academy Award-winning actress Geena Davis has sold her Pacific Palisades home for $5.63 million, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom Alphabet Streets home, built in 1999, was listed for $5.995 million this summer.
“Situated on over 17,000 square feet of land and featuring wonderful volumes of space, clean lines, gorgeous wood floors, high ceilings and French doors throughout,” the listing boasted, “this stately, elegant yet warm and inviting home will captivate from the moment you enter.”
The 5,146-square-foot property, located near Palisades Village, is tucked away on a cul de sac. Lush greenery abounds, as rooms open to patios and trellis-covered outdoor areas in this Mediterranean-style home.
“Other spaces and amenities include a double height entry, beautiful antique Italian tiles, a bar, safe room and an oversized three car garage,” the listing continued.
Other features in the home include a unique fireplace and a newly remodeled kitchen, with an island and integrated snack bar.
On the second floor is a main bedroom, designed with a fireplace and covered terrace with ample privacy. The ground floor contains a guest suite with garden access, as well as a library or den area with a small terrace.
There are two walk-in closets, dual bathrooms, and a private study or office.
The listing touted the home as a “very special offering, filled with romance and charm in a fabulous Palisades location.”
David Offer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties held the listing, and Barry Gray of Deasy Penner & Podley represented the buyer, according to Yahoo.
Davis first purchased the property in 2007 for just under $4.2 million, according to Variety.
Davis won an Oscar in 1989 for Best Supporting Actress in “The Accidental Tourist,” as well as the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 2019.
She is also well known for her role in “Thelma and Louise,” and recent television appearances in “The Exorcist,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “GLOW.”
