A GoFundMe has been launched to help support Bryan Ramirez, who was riding his motorcycle home after work as a mail carrier in Pacific Palisades before being struck by a vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway and Entrada Drive.
According to the fundraiser, Ramirez’s leg was pinned between two vehicles, and his leg will be amputated from the knee and below.
“He walks for a living, is a mail carrier, this man changed his young life forever,” according to the GoFundMe—launched by Elizabeth Vallejo. “He will no longer be able to work … I ask, from the bottom of my heart, to help with whatever you can, to help cover his medical bills along with other bills he won’t be able to cover due to this tragic accident. So once he can recover all he can focus on is getting better.”
As this story published, the fundraiser had a total of 221 donations, amounting to the sum of $14,500 of its $20,000 goal.
“[Bryan] is doing much better,” Vallejo shared in an August 13 update. “Today he had physical therapy and was able to stand on his leg … He is recovering well.”
