The Highlands home of late award-winning film producer Edward Pressman and his wife, Annie, is now in escrow after being listed for sale for $2,295,000 on February 16.
“An entertainer’s haven,” according to the listing, the home “sits proudly perched in the highly sought-after Palisades Highlands Vista Catalina community.” It offers “sweeping” views of both the mountains and ocean.
The “very quiet” three-bedroom, three-bathroom townhome features 2,871 square feet of living space.
“[It] is where the cinematic pioneer entertained A-list guests and was inspired by the breathtaking panoramic vistas,” the listing continued. “Expansive windows spill brilliant sunlight throughout, filling the heights of the voluminous ceilings soaring over the living room’s stylish fireplace. Textured tile floors continue to the formal dining area as an elegant chandelier casts a soft glow.”
A chef’s kitchen includes an assortment of appliances, including a five-burner range, refrigerator, dishwasher, double ovens—and views from each window.
“With gorgeous cabinetry, a farmhouse sink and Grohe fixtures, there’s nothing more you could ask for in a culinary space,” according to the listing. “An adjoining breakfast nook comes with a built-in banquette and access to a sun-kissed balcony for ocean and mountain gazing, and mesmerizing moonlit nights.”
Upstairs is a den where Pressman displayed memorabilia from his films. On the ground floor is a primary suite, which has “bespoke built-ins” alongside a seating area and a “luxe ensuite,” with a steam shower, walk-in closet and private access to a courtyard.
Throughout the home are multiple balconies and decks, affording a place to view the sunrise and sunset with unobstructed views. A two-car garage leads to a gated courtyard, as well as access to the home.
“This townhome is not only the best location in Vista Catalina,” the listing concluded, “but it also offers you the benefits of an exceptional and effortless lifestyle with truly magnificent views, where coming feels like getting away.”
The listing is held by Laura Klein with KRE + Associates. The home was last purchased for $2 million in October 2021, according to public records.
Pressman is known for his work producing films such as “Wall Street,” “Conan the Barbarian,” “American Psycho” and more. He died at the age of 79 in January.
