Hydration Room opened its Pacific Palisades location at 15278 Antioch Street on Monday, June 12—inviting customers to try its services.
Established in December 2014 by board-certified anesthesiologist Dr. Brett Florie, Hydration Room integrates allopathic and osteopathic medicine into vitamin injection and IV therapies.
“Gone are the days of having to go to the emergency room to receive basic IV hydration therapy,” according to its website. “Hydration Room is the new alternative: no wait, no outstanding medical bills, just effective and efficient IV hydration and injection therapies administered in a relaxing medical spa environment.”
Florie said the conception of Hydration Room grew out of initial concern for his wife, who suffered from chronic migraines. He began developing a vitamin IV therapy that “changed her life.”
“I saw the power of vitamin therapy and from there, I came up with other formulas for a couple of years, taking care of my friends … who were sick, patients who were traveling, athletes,” Florie said to the Palisadian-Post in February 2022. “That’s how the conception started.”
The first location opened in 2015. Now, there are over 20 Hydration Rooms across LA, Orange and San Diego counties. The Palisades location marked Hydration Room’s 22nd clinic.
Director of Operations Shaun Hayward said Hydration Room follows a “clean aesthetic,” with a goal to make guests feel welcome upon entering.
“We want it to be inviting and comfortable, and for people to feel relaxed,” Hayward explained to the Post. “Dr. Florie and I are both based in Orange County and grew up around the ocean, so you will see some surfboards in our clinics and more of that ocean vibe … People feel most relaxed at the beach, so we bring that aesthetic into all of our clinics.”
Hayward said the Palisades location acts as an extension of the Hydration Room in Santa Monica, which opened in April 2018 and is “consistently one of [the] busiest clinics” with “a good chunk” of patients from the Palisades.
“It’s been a long time coming,” Hayward said. “We’re excited.”
Florie said Hydration’s Room patients vary, from guests with malabsorption or autoimmune diseases, to the day-to-day parent or fitness guru—allowing there to be “something on the menu for everybody.”
“Whether you’re suffering from a cold or flu, battling a migraine, experiencing jet lag, seeking relief from sore muscles or chronic pain, waking up from a long night of over-indulgence, or just low in energy, IV hydration and injection therapy is the quickest way to help improve your symptoms and get you back to feeling your best,” according to the Hydration Room website. “IV hydration therapies are quick, often under 30 minutes, depending on your hydration status and needs. Injection therapy is administered in a private room by our physicians or nursing staff.”
Hydration Room boasted more than 95,000 customers and 2,000 NAD+ IV therapies, according to its website.
Its IV therapy menu—which includes “one liter of balanced electrolyte fluid and proprietary vitamin compounds”—has offerings like “Celebration” (designed to “improve your energy, reduce stress and provide immune support”) and “Cold & Flu” (which aims to “fight off a cold or fly by boosting your immune system while relieving aches and pains”).
Items on the Injection Therapy list—which are “proprietary vitamin compounds given through intramuscular injection”—include “Antioxidant Refresh Shot” (designed to “boost your immune system, maintain heart health, preserve memory and clear toxins”) and the “B12 Boost” (which aims to “reduce chronic fatigue, general sluggishness and decreased alertness”).
“We encourage people to come in and try us out,” Florie said. “We want to be a part of the neighborhood, the community, and be that safe place where people come in and tell us what’s happening in their lives, and figure out how we can help them.”
