4 p.m. Update: PCH has reopened in all directions. — A two-car collision has shutdown the northbound lanes of PCH for at least the next 90 minutes, Sgt. Richard Lewis, of the Santa Monica Police Department, told the Palisadian-Post at 1:55 p.m. A vehicle traveling southbound struck a vehicle pulling out of the Beach Club in the 200 block of PCH, Lewis said. The incident was first reported at 12:22 p.m. Both of the drivers were transported to the hospital, one in critical condition and the other with moderate to serious injuries, Lewis told the Post. The northbound lanes of PCH are shutdown from the California Incline to the 10 Freeway. Also, two of the southbound lanes of PCH are closed in that stretch of highway. Traffic is being diverted from the 10 Freeway onto the the Lincoln, 4th and 5th Street off ramps. Alcohol is not suspected to have played a role in the incident and the cause is still under investigation, Lewis said.
