Author and jewelry designer Beth Bernstein will be at Jaimie Geller tomorrow and Saturday, May 3-4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 15310 Antioch St.
Bernstein will sign her memoir, “My Charmed Life” (Penguin 2012), and will unveil her collection, Estate of Grace.
“Everything from the love beads my mother wore in the ‘70s to a diamond brooch passed down by my great-grandmother and a faux tiara crafted for me by my niece have connected my past and my present,” Bernstein says. “All of the precious keepsakes in my jewelry box reveal part of my history: not just material possessions but sparkling memories that link together the family, friends and romances.”
Bernstein’s collection comprises authentic antique jewelry, refashioned into pendants, rings and bracelets with a modern touch of diamond beads and bezels. She intends for this event to be a chance for women to find perfect Mother’s Day gifts, tying in with her memoir’s theme of gifting jewelry across generations.
Owners Michael and Jaimie Geller opened their store (formerly Laura M. Jewelry) in February 2009. The boutique is known for its original fine jewelry pieces designed by Michael, such as teardrop hoop earrings made of black gold with multicolored diamonds.
