
More than 300 people celebrated the festival of Yom HaAtzma’ut, marking the declaration of independence of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948, with a service and musical dinner at the Kehillat Israel synagogue on Friday, April 20. The dress code was blue and white, to reflect the flag of Israel being held aloft in the photograph by Cantor Chayim Frenkel.
