It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of beloved Palisadian Leslie Clark. Leslie passed away on Wednesday, August 2, after an eight-month battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by family and dear friends in her home at the time of her passing.
Leslie was born on July 22, 1962, in Toronto, Canada. She moved to the United States with her family in the late 1960s. Leslie attended UC Berkeley for college where she met her husband, Larry Clark, shortly after graduation. Larry and Leslie have been married for 35 years. Together they share three children, Brittany, Kathryn and Lindsey.
Leslie was an avid traveler and enjoyed taking trips with her family all over the world. Some of her more memorable family vacations were to Hawaii, Mexico, New Zealand, Greece, Holland, South Africa, Thailand, Portugal and Italy.
Leslie was a beloved member of the Calvary Palisades Church and School community. She worked at Calvary Christian School for over 11 years. In addition to serving as the admissions and marketing director, she led development campaigns and oversaw large-scale campus renovations.
She was always considered a valued counselor and advocate for new school families. Her office was often filled with parents seeking advice, or just needing a listening ear and encouragement, all of which she was ready to give at a moment’s notice.
Leslie is a dear member of the community, and she will be greatly missed. Leslie is survived by her husband Larry, her daughters, Brittany, Kathryn and Lindsey, her son-in-law, Paul O’Donnell, her mother, Wilhelmina Erikson, her sister, Irene Damsky, and her niece and nephew, Rebecca and Michael Damsky.
