Linda McCann died on Sept. 25 after a long illness.
Linda was born on March 9, 1941 in Queens, Long Island. She attended New York State University at Farmingdale, graduating with honors in 1960.
From there she traveled to her beloved Hawaii where she attended the University of Hawaii.
She married her first husband, Jim, in 1964 and with him had three children: Kimberly, Keith and Cassandra.
Linda married her second husband, Jay, in 1979 and together they moved to Pacific Palisades shortly thereafter.
Linda was an active member of the National Charity League for which she was the Board Junior Charity League Advisor.
She also sat on the Los Angeles Chapter Ball Board, for which she was a past Ball Director, and was an active member of the Coronet Patronesses.
Linda was a longtime member of Bel-Air Bay Club where she was for many years a devoted paddle tennis player.
For many years Linda was a member of the local charity group, Las Fortunas.
Her interests included bridge, sewing, cooking and reading.
Linda was particularly known for her hula dancing.
Linda is survived by her mother, Violette McTeague; her brother, Robert Schmitz; three children: Kim Silverman, Keith Craven and Casey Russell; twelve grandchildren; and her husband, Jay.
