A man stood on the sidewalk in front of Denton Jewelers on Sunset Boulevard on Friday, July 31 politely telling potential customers to “Please beware of Denton’s.”
Richard Steir encouraged people to read the front-page story in the July 23 issue of the Palisadian-Post, which broke the news that 27 lawsuits had been filed against the jewelry store and/or its owner Saad Mazboudi. Steir is a friend of one of those individuals.
Standing at least three feet away from the storefront, Steir also offered a flyer to passersby, thanked them for their time and told them to “have a nice day.”
Denton Jewelers called police, but when LAPD officers arrived on the scene a few minutes later, Steir had already left.
