The Marquez Elementary Charter School Holiday Boutique, held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, was a success again this year, boutique chair Julia Breitman told the Palisadian-Post. School families and the community did some last-minute holiday shopping among the boutique’s 22 vendors and Friends of Marquez raised nearly $5,000 to benefit the school and students, according to Breitman.
“I always love showcasing my handmade jewelry at this boutique. The families at the school are so nice,” said Palisadian Kathy Moscot of Kathy Moscot Designs.
“The boutique is a wonderful annual tradition to not only raise funds for Marquez Elementary School but also to showcase businesses and services of school families, alumni and the community. It’s a wonderful opportunity to earn money for a good cause during the holiday season,” Breitman said.
