Former Palisades High pitcher Jon Moscot earned his first Major League win today, pitching six innings in the Cincinnati Reds’ 5-2 victory over Philadelphia.
Moscot allowed two runs on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts. He is scheduled to make his next start Monday at Detroit.

Moscot (1-1) made his MLB debut Saturday against San Diego, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts in a 6-2 loss.
The 23-year-old right-hander was called up to fill in for the injured Raisel Iglesias. Moscot won the Palisadian-Post Cup Award his senior year at Pali High.
Moscot’s younger brother Jed just graduated from Pali High and will play baseball at UC Davis next season.
