Home for the Pawlidays | Los Angeles
Palisadians have until December 31 to participate in the Home for the Pawlidays event through Los Angeles County’s Animal Care and Control Center. Adoption fees for dogs and cats, including a microchip, spay/neuter and vaccinations, will be waived for dogs in care for 10 days or longer, and for all cats. To schedule an appointment to adopt, visit animalcare.lacounty.gov and click on the “Our Animals” tab for more information.

Hallstein Water at Palisades Village | Palisades Village
Family-owned beverage company Hallstein Water will be featured December 9 through 12 at Caruso’s Palisades Village. Phillip Muhr, a founding family member, will be pouring samples of Hallstein Water, described as a “delicious, unfiltered, untreated, uncompromised [and] naturally high in alkaline beverage.”
The water is sustainably harvested directly from the Dachstein Mountains in Austria because the Muhr family is focused on sustainably “harvesting the best water in the world,” according to the website.
This event will run Thursday, December 9, through December 11, from 11 a.m.to 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 12, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit hallsteinwater.com.

Holiday Glass Sale | Simon Meadow
Santa Monica College will host its annual Holiday Glass Sale at the Palisades-Malibu YMCA Tree Lot at Simon Meadow on Sunday, December 12, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The sale will feature “one-of-a-kind glass gifts, jewelry and ornaments,” according to a flyer. Proceeds will help support both YMCA and Santa Monica College Art Department.
Those who attend the glass sale will also have a chance to purchase Christmas trees.

Live Music at The Draycott | Palisades Village
Palisades Village eatery The Draycott will offer a series of live music, including a performance by 24-year-old singer/songwriter Claire Nordstrom on Monday, December 13, at 7 p.m.
Nordstrom, who has ties to the Palisades, is currently based between LA and Sun Valley, Idaho.
“In her short music career, Claire has had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with Andrea Bocelli, and sing on his multi-platinum Christmas album, ‘My Christmas,’” according to a statement ahead of the performance. “She performed with Bocelli at Madison Square Garden and a brief West Coast tour.”
Nordstrom has also performed the National Anthem at an NFL game between the Seahawks and 49ers, and won national honors in popular voice from the Young Arts Foundation two times.
The next live performance at The Draycott is Shevin, slated for Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 7 p.m.
