The Palisades Alliance for Seniors will gather at the Palisades Branch Library Community Room on Nov. 19 at 10:30 a.m. for a program titled “Fall Prevention.” Miriam Caiden, a trainer from WISE & Healthy Aging, will give a guest presentation, followed by instructions on how Palisadians can access their services and programs.

Inaugral Tree Lighting | Palisades Village
Caruso’s Palisades Village will host an Inaugural Tree Lighting celebration on Sunday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. to start the center’s holiday season.
“This magical evening will feature a special performance by Disney’s DCapella, as well as the season’s first snowfall and Santa’s grand arrival,” according to the Village’s website.
The event will be sponsored by Uber, Porsche and My Westside Home.

Pali Elementary Honors Veterans | The Village
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Palisades Elementary Charter School hosted an assembly on Tuesday, Nov. 13, which included a demonstration by U.S. Air Force veteran Mykesha Robinson. Robinson, who has a daughter who attends Pali Elementary, showed students how to salute.
The students also listened to speakers from American Legion Post 283.

St. Matthew’s Christmas Faire | Upper Bienveneda
The community is invited to gather at St. Matthew’s Parish School, located at 1031 Bienveneda Ave., in Sprague Center, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, for the annual Christmas Faire. The auditorium will be transformed into a “magical Christmas wonderland” of holiday fun. This year, the theme is love.

Annual Pie Sale | Pacific Palisades
Project Angel Food, which serves 12,000 meals per week free of charge to men, women and children living with critical illness, is hosting a Thanksgiving Pie and Cookie Sale to raise funds for its programming.
This year’s selection includes Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Diabetic Apple Pie and a Cookie Sampler—each going for $25, which pays for meals for five clients.
