Fire Station 69 Hit-and-Run | The Village
A suspected drunk driver slammed into the garage door of Los Angeles Fire Department Station 69, then fled the scene.
The hit-and-run occurred during the early morning hours of Friday, December 13, at around 3 a.m. Station 69 is in the heart of the Palisades, located on Sunset Boulevard and Carey Street.
CBSLA reported that a white Ford Ranger was involved and was last seen heading toward Pacific Coast Highway, according to witnesses.
The suspect left Station 69’s garage door bent and damaged, but no injuries were reported. —LILY TINOCO
Handbag Robbery | The Village
Handbags were taken during a robbery of Elyse Walker’s eponymous store on Antioch Friday afternoon, December 13.
“It’s not about handbags. Our first priority is the safety of our employees, friends, family and clients in this community,” Elyse Walker said to the Palisadian-Post. “We are working closely with authorities and have partnered with a special division as well as investing in additional security. We are using every connection that we have, including getting in touch with the mayor, to pull every resource available to us so that we can continue to make this a safe community.”
This follows a similar incident at the store that occurred on July 6.

BOCA Wins Tree Decorating Contest | The Village
BOCA clothing store, located on Monument Avenue, won the second annual Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce Christmas Stroll tree decorating contest. Part of the stroll, which took place Friday, December 6, was a chance for each participating business to decorate a tree, which community members who attended the stroll could vote on.

Menorah Lighting Ceremony | Palisades Village
The Palisades community is invited to the 31st annual Palisades Unity Menorah Lighting celebration, hosted by Chabad Jewish Center of Pacific Palisades at Palisades Village on December 22 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The ceremony will take place along Swarthmore Avenue.
Guests are encouraged to enjoy live music, festive treats and special surprises in this complimentary public event.
