On April 13, Palisadians gathered to celebrate the raising of the new Pacific Palisades flag designed by flag contest winners, Sean Lim and Will Dintenfass. Starting June 1, Palisades flags as well as flag hats and shirts will be for sale at the Palisades-Malibu YMCA, 821 Via de la Paz.
The first $1,000 earned from the sales will go to Lim and Dintenfass’s designated charities. Monies earned beyond that amount will go to the Palisades-Malibu YMCA.
Honorary Mayor Jake Steinfeld, who created and sponsored the contest to design a Palisades flag, said, “I want to encourage everyone to have a Palisades flag in front of their house for the 4th of July.”
