Riviera Tennis Club has announced that Jim Shumate has joined the club as the Tennis Clubhouse Manager and Austin Soliz is the new Director of Junior Tennis.
“We are delighted to have these two talented gentlemen join our management team,” said Don Emery, General Manager of the Riviera Country Club. “Jim and Austin are both passionate about their work and are looking forward to elevating our member experience through hospitality, facilities upgrades, and programming and personnel changes. This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for us.”
Shumate brings a long history of hospitality management to Riviera. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati he served as a sergeant in the US Air Force. He has extensive corporate experience as a GM with Landry’s and Lifeworks.
Soliz has been a tennis pro and fitness coach at Riviera since 2014. Prior to that he was Director of Tennis at the Bay Area Racquet Club in Clearlake, Texas and later the Director of Fitness /Tennis Professional at Ojakian Tennis in Marina Del Rey.
