Rotary Club of Pacific Palisades recently inducted three new members: Frank DiMarco, Stephen Schall and Todd Snyder.
“Frank DiMarco is a master builder with his office located in Pacific Palisades,” according to a statement from the club. “He is licensed with the California Contractors State License Board, Better Business Bureau and Malibu Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce.”
Schall, a 26-year resident of The Riviera, is an ophthalmologist who has practiced in LA and Beverly Hills since 1983. Snyder is a published photographer and founder of the Lost Faces of Humanity Foundation.
Late Lakers player and Palisadian Kobe Bryant was honored on Wednesday evening, August 24, on Pacific Park’s Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica Pier with “LA +Ψ + 24” and “LA + Ψ + 8,” as well as displays of gold and purple in a variety of patterns and transitions, from sunset to midnight in honor of what would have been his birthday week.
More than 25,000 yogis from 138 countries joined the virtual 2022 Self-Realization Fellowship World Convocation August 14 to 20—a week-long immersion in the Kriya Yoga teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
Self-Realization Fellowship, which has a space in Pacific Palisades, was founded in 1920 with the goal of introducing yoga and meditation to a broad audience.
“In past years we needed a huge 30-story hotel to accommodate the World Convocation,” shared SRF President Brother Chidananda in a statement, “and now we can conduct it in a space as small as my hand.”
